I moved to the Athens Area abo...

I moved to the Athens Area about 6 months ago and needed a dentist. I asked around at church and asked the people in my neighborhood if they had a good dentist or knew of one. I was told many times about Oconee Dental in Watkinsville and how great the staff is and how gentle the dentist is. I need this because I am terrified of the dentist!!! I called and talked with a receptionist and she scheduled me for a hygiene appointment since it has been a couple of years since my last cleaning. I told her the insurance I have and she explained everything!! After I hung up with her I realized I already felt comfortable with the office. I went in to have my teeth cleaned and loved the hygienist that took care of me. She explained everything she was going to do before she did it and told me to ask questions if I had any. She took xrays first and I loved them because they were digital!!! They are a lot more comfortable than the traditional ones. She then checked my bone levels around my teeth and cleaned them with NO PAIN!!!!! I was so pleased with the entire process and was acutally so relaxed I wanted to fall asleep in the chair. Dr. Smith came in and introduced herself and did an exam. I only had 2 cavities and they are small. The receptionist up front scheduled me to come back and have those filled. I left the office feeling great and NEVER dreading coming to the dentist again!!!!

I went in Dr. Smith's office for a broken tooth. I was in a lot of pain. My regular dentist could not see me for 3 weeks. I called Oconee Dental and they got me in the day I called and I have never even been there before. The front office staff was very welcoming and answered any questions that I had. I was called to the back to see the Doctor and her assistants are just as kind and welcoming as the rest of the staff. I found out I had to have a crown. They did not have me come back another day. They did it while I was there. I could not have asked for a better group of people to take care of me. I even got a call the next day to see how I was doing. This is a great office. Dr. Smith is very comforting and willing to help in any way and her staff is wonderful and caring. I would recommend this office to my family and friends.
